NOKIA Provides Equipment Grant

NOKIA, the Finland-based multinational communications and information technology corporation, has provided 10 Lumia 700 series smartphones to the School of Engineering, Technology and Media (SETM).

The smartphones will be used by students in the development, testing and deployment of applications in computer science and gaming classes, according to S.R. Subramanya, an associate professor in the SETM department of computer science, information and media systems.

Classes utilizing the NOKIA smartphones include CSC455 (Game Programming) and capstone courses CSC480 A and B (Computer Science Projects I and II).
