Career Development Webinars Serve Alumni and Students

Alumni Relations teamed with the department of Student Services and the Career Center at National University earlier this year, utilizing the University’s online learning technology to enhance employment opportunities for alumni and students throughout California via a series of career development webinars.

The first webinar, targeted toward job seekers in Los Angeles and Orange County, was held on Wednesday, May 6. A total of 39 participants interacted with a career development panel to discuss job search strategies, resumes, industry trends, best practices, networking and other valuable knowledge aimed at providing the participants with important advantages in the current job market.

The second webinar, which targeted job seekers in San Jose, Stockton, Sacramento and Redding, was held on Wednesday, May 20, attracting a total of 45 participants who interfaced with a panel of experts through the utilization of Adobe Connect web conferencing software.

The webinars were two of numerous career-oriented events conducted by the National University’s Alumni Relations department and Career Center this year, including an earlier career development webinar in February.
