New Edition of Vision Magazine Available to All Alumni

A new edition of Vision magazine, National University’s annual alumni publication, was distributed in June. The theme of this year’s magazine is “Inspiring Stories for Challenging Times.”

National University Interim President Patricia E. Potter presented several inspiring alumni profiles “as a promise of what is possible in even the most trying circumstances,” and encouraged readers to take hope from its pages.

“These are challenging times,” she wrote in the magazine’s welcome letter. “Yet despite the repetitive messages of doom and gloom, there remain many moments and individuals to laud and applaud.”

From a war hero who made the ultimate sacrifice to a music teacher who is fighting to protect arts programs from budget cuts, the articles in Vision magazine emphasize the transformative power of higher education, eliciting a strong sense of reassurance regarding a brighter tomorrow and reaffirming the notion that the 21st Century is still ours to shape.

Additionally, Vision features articles about the University’s new Online Information Centers; a new National University System affiliate with a doctoral program; a profile of the School of Business and Management; and much more.

Magazines were mailed to all alumni last month, and have been distributed to all of the University’s academic centers. If you haven’t received your Vision magazine, contact the Alumni Relations department at alumni@nu.edu, or call (858) 642-8111.
