A free service provided by National University Mathematics Centers to all students.
To help us serve you efficiently, please observe these guidelines:
- You may submit your questions via email.
We have three (3) Online Math Tutors with the following email addresses:
David Basehore dbasehore@nu.edu
James Isbell jisbell@nu.edu
James O'Donoghue jodonoghue@nu.edu - Math tutors will do their best to respond in 24-48 hours, including weekends but excluding university holidays. Our three online math tutors can also respond by telephone during the hours they have set for their actual tutoring sessions:
5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday - Sunday
(There will always be two tutors available during these hours)
We also offer in-person tutoring at the following National University campuses:
Spectrum Library, La Mesa Center, Los Angeles/Sherman Oaks, Fresno and Redding.
Please ask the Center Assistants to direct you to the tutoring rooms at these locations. - You may submit as often as you wish, but please focus your questions as specifically as possible. In order to serve all students, tutors will allot a maximum of 30 minutes to each submission (or multiple submissions per student). If your submission cannot be completed within 30 minutes, the tutor will address as much as possible in the allotted time and will return to finish your submission after others have been helped.
- Math tutors deal with math topics only. Questions or problems regarding course navigation, hardware, software, or administration should be addressed to your instructor or through SPL Help Desk.
