Humankind is facing enormous challenges in the 21st Century. Engineers must be at the forefront of using the best knowledge and technology available to deal with these challenges and solve problems in order to continue to bring increased prosperity and higher standards of living to the world. Educating the engineer of the future is no less a challenge. Education must be a process that provides for developing the ability to learn how to learn and adapt for the future.
