Possession of a valid preliminary administrative services certificate and successful completion of EDA 607.
Course Description
Critical analysis of current administrative issues in creating and maintaining a vision of learning; developing and sustaining a school culture focused on teaching and learning; providing proper organizational management of a school and school district; demonstrating sensitivity to school and family needs and to community diversity; providing ethical leadership, and applying knowledge of the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context of educational leadership. Continued implementation of the Induction Plan developed in EDA 607.
The goals of EDA 608 are to review the critical issues identified by the CCTC as key competencies necessary for recommendation for the Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential, to provide an overview of current issues facing school administrators, to facilitate consulting and supportive networking with instructional leaders possessing curricular expertise, and to assist candidates implementing their individualized professional Induction Plan.
