RESEARCH

Current research

I am writing a book on the business cycle.  I plan to show what causes the business cycle.  My explanation is based on the "Austrian" theory of the business cycle.  I will defend Austrian cycle theory from criticisms and show why alternative theories of the business cycle do not provide good explanations of the cycle.  Finally, I will apply Austrian business cycle theory to various cyclic episodes that have occurred throughout history to show how Austrian cycle theory can be used to help understand economic history.
