Overview

Program Options

The Black Belt certification process consists of two weeks of coursework and a project that will be completed at the candidates' workplace with the guidance of the instructor. After coursework is completed there will be two weeks of onsite consulting. Several training options are available and each can be tailored to best suit each client's scheduling requirements.

BB - Option 1
This is the most popular scheduling option. One week (40 hours) of intensive class work is followed by a three week period where the Black Belt candidates return to work to apply lessons learned. During this three week period, there is one week of onsite consulting. A second week of class work (40 hours) is followed by the second week of onsite consulting and completion of the Black Belt Project. Successful completion of the Black Belt Project is the final requirement for Certification. Class sessions may be held on- or off-site depending on the organizational needs.

BB - Option 2
This flexible option is designed for businesses with an operational intensity that makes it impossible for Black Belt candidates to miss full days of work. The first forty (40) hours of training will be held at the beginning of each day for four (4) hours over a two week period. This is followed by a three week period where the Black Belt candidates return to work to apply the lessons learned and includes a week of onsite consulting. The second forty (40) hours of training are also scheduled at the beginning of each day for four (4) hours over a two week period. The second period of training is followed by one week of onsite consulting and completion of the Black Belt Project. Successful completion of the Black Belt Project is the final requirement for Certification. It is typically more efficient to conduct training on-site with this option.

GB - Option 3
This is the most intensive and quickest option to earn Black Belt certification. Both one week course sessions (80 hours) are taken consecutively followed by two weeks of individual onsite consulting and completion of the Black Belt Project.
