Overview
Those holding the CompTIA A+ certification have a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance, and basic networking. This online CompTIA A+ preparation program includes two units and it is required that students have an extra computer running with Windows 98 or Windows 2000. 320 hours.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Install, remove, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware
- Connect a variety of peripherals to a PC and correctly configure them
- Be prepared to take A+ Hardware Preparation (Exam 220-221) and A+ Operating System Technologies Preparation (Exam 220-222)
Prerequisites: Students should have a basic knowledge of Windows.
