Course Description
Through an historical and literary approach, this course examines the history of the state of Nevada from the Native peoples to the present. Includes a component on Nevada Constitution required for graduation from all Nevada colleges and universities. This course will also provide students with a working knowledge of Nevada statutes and federal laws governing teaching in the public schools as well as typical public school policies. Special focus is given to examples of relevant case law especially decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court and of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which are binding in Nevada.
