Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program
The purpose of the Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program (the Campus Program) is to help develop and strengthen victim services in cases involving domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campuses. These crimes are serious problems on campuses and raise unique issues and challenges. Many campuses are addressing these crimes by developing campus-based coordinated responses that include campus victim services, campus law enforcement, health providers, housing officials, administrators, student leaders, faith-based organizations, student organizations, and disciplinary boards. To be effective, these responses must be linked to local criminal justice agencies and service providers, including local law enforcement agencies; prosecutors' offices; the courts; and nonprofit, nongovernmental victim advocacy and victim services agencies. This coordinated community response is intended to enhance victim safety and assistance as well as hold offenders accountable. For more information, go to Program Information.
