- The Association of Private Enterprise Education (APEE) invites the submission of papers for its 33rd International Convention in Las Vegas , April 6-8, 2008. The association is composed of scholars from economics, political science, philosophy, and other disciplines as well as policy analysts, business executives and other educators. APEE's annual meeting explores topics related to private enterprise in an atmosphere that respects market approaches. Presentations reflect the latest research in fields such as regulation, public choice, microeconomics and Austrian economics as well as development of instructional techniques. The submission fee for the society's journal, The Journal of Private Enterprise, is waived for papers presented at the conference. - The Austrian Scholars Conference is the international, interdisciplinary meeting of the Austrian School, and for scholars interested or working in this intellectual tradition, it is the event of the year. - The California World History Association, an affiliate of the World History Association, is back in action. With the mission of supporting the scholarship and teaching of world history in California and the West Coast, we will be kicking off our activities with a conference November 16 and 17, 2007 to be held at California State University, Fullerton.

- AAFS Annual Meeting
The Academy's annual scientific meeting is held in February at which time over 500 scientific papers, breakfast seminars, workshops, and other special events are presented. The AAFS consists of ten sections representing a wide range of forensic specialties, and the annual scientific meeting gathers these professionals who present the most current information, research, and updates in this expanding field. The Academy's 60th Anniversary Meeting will be held February 18-23, 2008, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.
