Student Research Conference
Student Research Conference was initiated as a means to increase research culture at National by involving students in research and also engaging faculty in the research mentoring process to enhance student learning outcomes. The first conference in April of 2007 assembled 15 student presentations from most schools.
The Research Council would like express its gratitude to all the students who participated in the first Research Student Research Conference held in April 12, 2007, as well as their faculty mentors. We would to thank the NU community for their support and attendance of the Conference. We appreciate favorable comments received from many of the colleagues and their offers and willingness to help with the next conference. The research council is also grateful to Dr. Tom Green, Dr. Jan Parker, Dr. Lorraine Leavitt, and especially Ms. Karen Lyons for their efforts in organizing this event thus contributing to the success of this Conference.
As a reminder, NOW is the time to encourage, support, and work with your students to prepare and submit their research for the presentation during the upcoming Student Research Conference 2008.
