Join National University as it launches its new "The Brain is Wider than the Sky" public programming series with a reading by acclaimed poet Jane Hirshfield, followed by a book signing on Friday, June 13,  at the Neurosciences Institute, 10640 John Jay Hopkins Drive in San Diego.

The event will begin with a reception from 7 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a reading from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a book signing from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

Described by the New York Times Book Review as "radiant and passionate," Hirshfield's work ranges from the metaphysical to the political and scientific, to the subtle unfolding of daily life.

The Summer Series events are free and open to the public, however seating is limited and reservations are required. TO RSVP, contact Christina Querido at cquerido@nu.edu.  For more information, contact Annette Cyr at acyr@nu.edu.
